I had some shortcrust pastry lying in the fridge for quite few weeks. Suddenly it caught on my eyes. When i decided to use that in my recipes, so many ideas passed through my mind. Finally i decided to make a galette because i saw some apples lying in the fridge too..
Basic Shortcrust Pastry
Lemon Curd Tart
Chocolate Fruit Tart
Galette is nothing but a free form pie, in which you dont want a pie dish or a tart pan..So it is easy and kind of rustic. But the taste is so delicious..I added few extra ingredients in my filling like cinnamon, lemon juice and it all worked together beautifully in my butter rich pastry..
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
